It ultimately depends on the school's dress code and Mary's personal style. If the school allows for chunky heels and Mary feels comfortable and confident in them, then she can consider wearing Mary Jane shoes with chunky heels to school. However, if the school has a strict dress code or if Mary feels that the shoes may be too distracting or uncomfortable for a day of classes, she may want to opt for a more practical and school-appropriate footwear option.
