The series follows the adventures of two Gauls who resist Roman occupation with the help of a magic potion that gives them superhuman strength. The characters have become iconic in French popular culture and have been featured in numerous adaptations, including figurines and collectible items. These figures are popular among fans of the series and are often sought after by collectors. **

Yes, I know Obelix. He is a fictional character from the French comic book series "Asterix." Obelix is a menhir delivery man and the best friend of the main character, Asterix. He is known for his immense strength and love of wild boar. Obelix is a beloved character in the series and is often depicted as a loyal and good-natured companion to Asterix. **

Obelix is known for his immense strength and invulnerability due to falling into a cauldron of magic potion as a baby. This potion gives him superhuman abilities, making him nearly invincible in battle. However, there have been instances where Obelix has been temporarily defeated or injured, such as when he was knocked out by a falling menhir or when he accidentally drank a potion that made him lose his strength. Overall, while Obelix is incredibly powerful, there are rare circumstances where he can be defeated or injured. **

In the Asterix and Obelix comic series, it is true that the Gaulish village of indomitable warriors is able to resist Roman occupation due to a magic potion brewed by the village druid, Getafix. It is also true that the two main characters, Asterix and Obelix, go on various adventures and often find themselves in humorous and absurd situations. Additionally, the series incorporates historical and cultural references, providing a satirical commentary on various aspects of ancient Roman society. **

Yes, Asterix and Obelix are also popular in Italy. The series has been successful in Italy, with numerous translations and adaptations into Italian. **

Asterix and Obelix are the two main characters in the French comic book series "Asterix." Asterix is the smaller, smarter, and more cunning of the two, while Obelix is the larger, stronger, and somewhat dim-witted companion. They are both Gauls who live in a small village in Roman-occupied Gaul and are known for their adventures and resistance against the Roman Empire. While they do not have official leadership roles, they are often seen as the leaders of their village due to their bravery, resourcefulness, and ability to outsmart the Romans. **

My favorite quote from Asterix and Obelix is "These Romans are crazy!" This quote perfectly captures the humorous and irreverent spirit of the series, as well as the Gauls' incredulity at the antics of the Roman soldiers. It's a simple yet iconic line that has become synonymous with the series and is often quoted by fans. It also reflects the underlying theme of resistance and defiance against the Roman occupation, which is a central element of the Asterix and Obelix stories. **

Obelix calls the processed boulders "menhirs" because that is the term used in the region of Brittany, France, where the menhirs are commonly found. Menhirs are large, upright standing stones that were erected during the prehistoric period and are often associated with ancient rituals and beliefs. Since Obelix is from Gaul, the region that later became France, he would be familiar with the term "menhir" to describe these ancient stones. **
